This guide demonstrates the steps to install Ezra addon on Kodi 20 & Kodi 19. The instructions in the guide apply to any device compatible with the Kodi app, including FireStick (Lite, 4K, 4K Max, 3rd Gen, and older versions), Fire TV Cube, Android TV boxes & TV sets, iOS & Android mobiles, Windows PCs, macOS, and more.
What is Ezra addon?
Ezra addon is a streaming service that lets you watch on-demand content on Kodi, including movies and shows. You can also watch documentaries, docuseries, comedy shows, programming for kids, family content, and more. The addon organizes the content into manageable categories. As a result, you can easily explore the videos you want to watch. For instance, if you’re going to watch a movie, you can browse the Movies category.
Ezra is one of the third-party addons. You won’t find it in the official Kodi repository. Instead, you will download it from the namesake repository, the Ezra Repository. It is an unofficial repository on an external server.
Attention KODI Users: Read before you continue
Government and ISPs endlessly monitor your online activities using your IP address 35.175.39.36 (exposed to everyone). Kodi is an excellent platform for streaming movies, TV shows, and sports, but streaming copyrighted content can get you into legal trouble.
You should use a reliable Kodi VPN and protect your streaming activities and privacy. A VPN will hide your IP address and bypass government surveillance and geo-restrictions.
I trust and use ExpressVPN, the fastest and most secure Kodi VPN. It's easy to install on any Kodi device, including Amazon FireStick, PCs, and Smartphones. In addition, it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, and 3 free months with the annual plan.

Is Ezra Addon Safe?
Third-party addons might expose you to harmful software, privacy violations, and security flaws. Honestly, I am not a digital security expert. Therefore, it is not up to me to claim whether the addon is safe or malicious.
I used VirusTotal to scan the installation file of the Ezra Repository. Virus Total is one of the most widely used and reliable online antivirus utilities worldwide. The results look promising. No security vendor flagged the file as malicious. VirusTotal ran it with more than 90 security vendors. You can see the scan result in the following image:
Is Ezra Legal?
While we can gauge the safety of the addon to a certain extent, legality is an entirely different playing field. The Ezra addon does not host any videos. Instead, it is an aggregator that uses digital scrapers to fetch streaming links and line them up on its interface. The addon scrapes links from so many unknown providers that it is impossible for FireStickHow to verify whether the links are legit. There is a fair chance that Ezra will retrieve streaming links from unauthorized providers. Streaming from the Ezra addon may push you over legal boundaries.
You have nothing to worry about if you are watching only the officially listed videos in the public domain. However, it’s not always easy to tell one from another. Therefore, the most effective way to safeguard your privacy is with a good VPN service like ExpressVPN. It is one of the best VPNs to encrypt and hide all your streaming activities and keep you anonymous online.
How to Install Ezra Kodi Addon
I have already mentioned that Ezra is from an unofficial repository. Therefore, the installation is not as straightforward as getting an addon from an official repository. The only option to install the Ezra addon is via sideloading. However, the process is still easy. Let me guide you through the steps.
Part 1: Enable Ezra Sideloading on Kodi
All you need to do is enable a security setting that will allow you to sideload the Ezra Kodi addon. Here are the steps:
1. Start Kodi and then navigate to the upper-left corner. Next, click the cogwheel icon and open the Kodi Settings page.
2. On the Settings page, click System.
3. Highlight the menu item Add-ons on the left. On the right, locate Unknown Sources. Check if it is grayed out. If yes, click the switch and enable it.
4. Click Yes to Confirm that you wish to enable Unknown Sources.
5. You may now select the option Update official add-ons from. While this step is optional, I recommend that you go through it.
6. Now, click Any repositories. Next, click OK. This ensures Ezra and other addons get updates from any Kodi repository.
Part 2: Add the Ezra Repository Source
You will have to tell Kodi the location of the source from where you will install the Ezra Repository and the Ezra addon. To do that, here are the steps:
1. Open Settings and then choose the option File manager.
2. On the following window, click Add source (you may need to click twice if you use a computer).
3. Click where it says <None> on this popup window.
4. Go ahead and enter the Ezra repository source web address https://tiny.one/ezra19 and click OK. Rechecking the address for typos or punctuation errors would be a good idea.
Disclaimer: This short URL redirects to the original source https://ezra-hubbard.github.io. I shortened it to make it easier to type. Also, please note that this URL points to an external source. FireStickHow is not associated with the URL owners or the Ezra repository’s developers.
5. I will go ahead with the auto-filled media source name, ezra19. However, if you want to change it, click the text box and type a new name.
6. Click OK to save the Ezra repo address and name.
7. If everything goes right, the repo source name will be displayed on this window.
You have successfully added the Ezra Repository source.
Part 3: Steps to Install Ezra Kodi Addon
You will now install the Ezra Repository and then the Ezra Kodi addon. The steps go like this:
1. Open the Kodi Settings page one final time and choose the folder Add-ons.
2. Click the option Install from zip file.
3. Click Yes on the prompt (only for Kodi 19).
4. A window will pop up with the source name you typed earlier while adding the source. It’s ezra19 for us. Select it.
5. Click the file repository.ezra-x.x.x.zip.
6. You will see a notification Ezra Repository Add-on installed in the top-right corner.
7. The Ezra Repository has been installed. Now, select Install from repository on the same window.
8. Click Ezra Repository on the next screen.
9. Open the folder Video add-ons.
10. Select Ezra.
11. On the next screen, you can see a brief overview of the addon. Click Install in the bottom-right area.
12. Click OK to accept the installation of the additional addons. The Ezra addon will work only when you install them.
13. You can see that the Ezra addon is getting installed.
14. After a little while, you will see the Ezra Repository Add-on installed notification in the upper-right section of the screen.
Wonderful! You have successfully installed the Ezra Kodi addon.
Wait! It looks like you are all set to start watching your favorite content on Kodi. But have you protected your online identity yet? You are under constant surveillance by the Government and ISP. They use your IP address 35.175.39.36 to track you. Streaming free or copyrighted videos may get you into legal trouble.
Thankfully, you can use a VPN to easily protect your privacy and go invisible from your Government and ISP. I use and recommend ExpressVPN with Kodi.
